The Tempest Stilled - Melody Conjurske

The roaring waters dash about,
The raging wind gives out a shout.

The roaring waters dash about,
The raging wind gives out a shout.
That mighty wind – ah dreadful sound!
It tosses our poor ship around.
The splashing waves now fill the boat,
“Is our poor ship still going to float?”
Now fearful looks are cast about,
And fill each heart with grief and doubt.
But here amid the raging wind,
There lay a Man who never sinned.
Amid the roaring waters deep,
The Saviour lays now fast asleep.
These fearful men awake him there;
And ask him why he doesn’t care.
He then rebuked the raging sea,
And it was calm as it could be.
‘Twas not the storm that grieved Him there,
But men who doubt that He would care.
