Ann Steele Poems
Anne Steele was born in England, the daughter of a Baptist preacher. Anne Steele’s fiancé died the day before their anticipated wedding, and she never married. She helped her father with his ministerial labors and served the cause of Christ with a cheerful spirit. Anne Steele’s poems were first published under the name “Theodosia.”
