a.) Entire dependence upon the merits and mediation of Jesus as the only grounds for claiming a blessing.

b.) Separation from all known sin.

c.) Faith in God’s promise as confirmed by his oath.

d.) Asking in accordance with God’s will, not selfishly

e.) Importunity
