I can’t face this trial,
I’ve tried quite awhile

I can’t face this trial,
I’ve tried quite awhile
The pain’s quite too much
For a human, as such. 

I can’t bear this strain,
This suffocating pain,
And surely no doubt
There seems no way out. 

I can’t face this day,
There’s simply no way.
There’s no way to cope.
I’m left without hope. 

You can, if you try,
It isn’t a lie.
One day at a time,
And you’ll start to climb. 

You can if you will,
Just trust and be still.
You fully can trust,
And really you must 

God knows the way.
It will be okay.
If only you know
Just to trust and let go. 

You can face each day,
There’s no other way,
Just look up to Him,
And life’s not so grim.

The Father has said
(And He is your Head)
He’d give you each day,
The strength for the way.
