A Song of Victory
They that wait upon Jehovah
Shall renew their failing strength;
They that wait upon Jehovah
Shall renew their failing strength;
They shall run, and not be weary;
They shall walk, and not be faint.
Mounting up with wings as eagles,
They shall taste of things on high,
Feast their souls on milk and honey,
Corn and wine in rich supply.
They shall run the race before them,
Strong in all the Spirit’s might;
They shall stand in all the conflict;
They shall conquer in the fight.
They shall see their late pursuers
Cast upon the seashore dead;
They shall sing the songs of triumph;
They shall bruise the serpent’s head.
Mounting up with wings as eagles,
Still ascending to the skies,
All the tempter’s power they vanquish;
More than conquerors they rise;
Changed from glory unto glory,
Going on from strength to strength,
On, from conquering to conquer,
To a full reward at length.
