The Rock of Salvation

The Rock of Salvation is higher than I.
Only the Lamb could God’s wrath satisfy.
Sinless and spotless, His Blood  substitute
Rock of Salvation on cross rough and rude.

At Rock of Salvation Thou higher than I,
Lift me from sin ‘tis to Thee that I cry.
Only Thy hands pierced could reach me indeed;
Only Thy arms lift me up in my need.
