The Ways of The Lord
The ways of the Lord we might not always understand,
He will never leave us and lovingly stretch forth His hand.
To help and gently lead us in our daily journey home,
If we will only trust Him, we will never need to roam.

His ways are always best, no matter what they may be,
He will lead us surely home, to our heavenly destiny.
God knows what trials we will need to face each day,
But thru them all, by our side He’ll always stay.

Through the valleys dark, we might need to pass,
Leading us to springs of fresh waters, and green grass.
Life will not always be filled with roses blooming near,
But we should not despair or have any doubt or fear.

If we want roses, we will have the sharp thorns too,
We can’t always know the ways of God that is true.
But with each valley and long, hard, and rugged way,
He will lead us gently through each passing day.

He wants the best for each, whether young or old,
Lead us to our final home, and by His breast to hold.
His ways are always best and He has our good in mind,
If only we would try to seek Him and His will to find.
