WE OFTEN FIGHT TO CHANGE OUR MIND! (Repent) - Chapel Chat

What does it take to change your mind? A miracle, a threat, a revelation, an accident or just plain straight thinking.
Paul, the apostle, was shipwrecked on the Island of Malta, near Italy, as a prisoner of the Roman Empire, along with 276 other persons. All these people were enjoying the hospitality of the local people around a large bonfire that helped with the cold of the day. Paul is putting more wood on the fire when a viper comes out of the sticks and bites Paul. The viper is extremely poisonous so the native people expect Paul to quickly fall down dead. Paul shakes off the snake into the fire and then nothing happens. After a while the local people “change their minds” and claim that Paul must be a god to have overcome the snake bite. Acts 28:1-6
A change of mind is the definition of repentance. All people are born with a mindset that is against God. They need to be converted to the mindset of God. Also, they are raised in a society, run by the great deceiver, Satan, who teaches a hateful, lustful, secular world view instead of a compassionate, biblical world view. We need to repent, trust in Christ and become righteous children of God instead of evil, children of the devil.  This world is in evil chaos and is quaranteed to get worse and worse. What will it take to have you change your mind to the mindset of God through Christ? God is seeking humble, loving, worshippers for His heavenly home!!
