God is all – Andrew Murray
1. God is all. God alone hath life, because he alone hath it in himself. He is the life of all that lives. The heavens and the earth are but his garment, a vesture that he changeth as he will. He alone remaineth, the everlasting one who changeth not. He is the great I am that I am. The heaven and the earth are full of his glory, everything that exists is but the outshining of the glory of his power and goodness. Were it not that we are so worldly and blind, we should see nothing but God in the universe, all existence would be but the shadow of his presence. Instinctively and joyously we would say: God is all. God has not given to nature a life which it can have in itself, independent of him. No, it remains inseparably connected with himself, and dependent on him: in all there is God; God is all.
