A man well known to Silas

5) A man well known to Silas went up to him at the close of a meeting and requested prayer. He was surprised to be met with a refusal. “What, Doraigaru? You, a missionary, and you refuse a request for prayer?” “It’s not prayer you need, but obedience. You know what you ought to do. Why aren’t you doing it?” Shamefaced, the man left, to return the same evening. He looked a different man, as though an immense burden had dropped from his shoulders. Again he tackled Silas. “I have sent her away,” he said, suiting his words with a gesture of his head. He was referring to “the other woman.” “Will you pray with me now?” He did not need a reply. Together, they knelt right there and committed the affair to God.
