A sinner never looks so sweetly – Thomas Brooks

“She stood behind Him at His feet, weeping, and began to wash His feet with her tears. She wiped His feet with the hair of her head, kissing them and anointing them with the fragrant oil.” Luke 7:38

A sinner never looks so sweetly, as when he weeps most penitentially. Though God is displeased with a sinner’s  sins yet He is very well pleased with a sinner’s tears, and therefore has a bottle for them. It is a great pleasure to God to see a sinner drown his sins in a deluge of penitential tears.
