Tozer was saved while still in his teenage years. His conversation had made such an impact on his life that he was offered a pastorate 5 years after his conversion. This is remarkable if we consider that he had had no theological training. Among churches ministered in later was the Southern Alliance church in Chicago and the Avenue Road Church in Toronto, Canada. The unction of God was evident upon his life and ministry. Prayer was a key focus of Tozer and to this we can attribute the blessing that rested on his ministry, giving him deep spiritual insight, and which still impacts lives today through his written works. During his lifetime, his ministry had spread all over the world. His written works include forty books which continue to inspire and challenge.
