Better than a golden head – Thomas Brooks

“Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.” Matthew 5:8

A pure heart is better than a golden head. A heart full of holy affections is infinitely beyond a head full of curious notions. There is no jewel like that of holiness. He who has holiness has all and he who lacks that has nothing at all. Heaven is for that man, and that man is for heaven, who has clean hands and a pure heart, whose holy life is attended with heart purification.
