HAPPY DAYS - Hannes Zegement Grove
HAPPY DAYS
Happy days the ones I could hear my dad’s voice
The days I smiled, happy by choice
God was good for this little lad
In his heart he was so wicked and real bad
Jesus had tears often I made Him sad
Happy days are long, long gone
Everything turned upside down, all went wrong
I have nothing to live for—hate this earth
Why did God make me, me from birth?
Jesus smiled, I made you from this hated dirt
Happy days where are you my heart ponders
The world has changed, why you wonder
‘Cause sin rules this earth my child
Just like you when you went wild
Stand up for Christ little one behold
Thru’ suffering and pain I’ll give you a heart of gold
Jesus my Lord—this to me He told
