How Could God Send These Trials?

How could God send these trials to me?
How can I pass this test?
It seems more difficult than those
Allotted to the rest.

How can God hold the universe
Within His mighty hand,
And yet allow the things that I
Just cannot understand?

Ah child, if you had confidence
In God who ruleth all,
You would not let the trials and tests
Cause you to stumble, fall.

One day when time has ended
And this earth’s labour’s past,
You’ll understand the reason;
Rejoice in God, at last.
