In the brevity of time
out of the endlessness of eternity,

A miracle
From the glory of Heaven
into the crudeness of a manger!
A baby still

From the Creator of the world
and throne Supreme
Despised, rejected, mocked
thy God hath been
And from where angels, saints adore Him
on cruel cross, the masses scoff
and scorn Him

The only sacrifice of worth
A Blameless Lamb from infant birth
God’s only SON!
He died the darkness filled the earth
Past, agony of sins dark curse
Salvation WON!

Now Conqueror in the Heavenlies,
God Supreme
The only sinless Man this world hath seen
Eternal Bliss
The work is done thy soul is won
If thou but do believe
IT WAS FOR THIS.
