When we think of the letter ‘J’, the dear name of the Lord Jesus Immediately springs to mind and there are many hymns that start of with His name including ‘Jesus I Am Resting, Resting’ By Jean Sophia Pigott which is a wonderful hymn calling us to rest in the Lord, ‘Jesus Lover Of My Soul’ one of Charles Wesley’s hymns is one of the great hymns of faith. ‘Jesus Saviour Pilot Me’ by Edward Hopper is a call for God’s guidance every step of the way and a commitment to obey Him. ‘Jesus Tender Shepherd Hear Me’ written by Mary Lundie Duncan echoes the cry of many a Christian in the midst of storms. ‘Jesus Thy Blood And Righteousness’ , the original written by Count Zinzendorf and translated By John Wesley brings us to the fundamental and pure basis of our faith. ‘Just As I Am’ of Charlotte Elliott is a favorite of mine and the rally call in a meeting for surrender to God.
