Joy sweet adornment for pilgrims,
Spreading a fragrance so sweet

Drawing them to Jesus feet

Joy in abundant salvation
Given so full and so free
Claimed when repentant and seeking
Joy that my God pardoned me

Joy in the Saviour’s communion
Tender and holy and true
As in God’s word I am finding
Comfort and guidance anew

Joy that is lasting, not transient
Joy that hath made my life whole
Joy as a life-giving fountain
Jesus, the Joy of my soul
