Leah Was Not Beauti

Leah was not beautiful.
Her sister was the one
For beauty cherished, loved, preferred,
Whom Jacob’s heart had won.

But Leah had a tender eye.
We know that from God’s word.
Despite her trials, rejections, hurt,
Her heart with pity stirred.
