My God Is There

In all the changing scenes of life;
In times of peace; in times of strife,

There’s One who watches over me,
And what no other notices,
His eye can see.

As deep as my self-knowledge goes,
And deeper still, He sees and knows,
And when I have a thing to share,
But no one seems to understand,
My God is there.

My God is there to see and hear.
In every lonely trial He’s near,
And near when victory I gain,
Which, though it thrills my inmost soul,
I can’t explain.

When words just can’t express my heart
Too full or too much torn apart
Or plagued by thoughts against my will,
My God and Father knows it all
And loves me still.
