O How It Breaks My Heart
I prayed to see this world
Through Jesus eyes and heart,
But oh I didn’t know
Just what that would impart.
O how it breaks my heart,
To see the souls around me,
And to know, Where they go.
O how it breaks my heart;
To see the drunk man reel,
To see his need of Christ,
And yet he will not kneel.
How can these human souls,
For whom Christ lived and died,
Go on with life as if,
He wasn’t crucified?
O how it breaks my heart
to see the sad and lone
to see their need of Christ
Of Jesus Christ alone
