Paris Reidhead was born in a rural farming community. It was in his teens that he dedicated his life for full time service. He joined the Sudan Inland Mission (SIM) in 1945 and went out to Sudan. He returned in 1949 to be appointed as the SIM’s Deputation Secretary. He had close links with the Christian Missionary Alliance and spoke at many of their conferences. He was appointed as pastor of the New York Gospel Tabernacle. He had influence with the United Nations in his endeavours for upliftment of the Third World Countries. With this burden for the poverty and suffering of many, he visited South America, Asia and Africa to call for and bring an awareness of the need for aid. His most famous sermon ‘Ten Shekels and a Shirt’ has been viewed by millions online. Other sermons that stand out include ‘Getting Evangelicals Saved’ and ‘Finding the Reality of God’.
