Receive Christ, Receive Forgiveness - Chapel Chat
Paul, a prisoner of the Roman Empire, was brought to trial for the 4th time for declaring the resurrection of Jesus Christ. King Agrippa wanted to hear about Jesus Christ and asked to hear Paul. Governor Festus was happy to have Agrippa hear him as he had no charges against this prisoner who had been kept for two years. Acts 25-26.
Paul was happy to testify before King Agrippa as the King was very knowledgeable in regard the Jewish religion. He began by stating that the resurrection was something taught in the Scriptures and he and the Pharisees believed it. He then gives his personal testimony of having seen Christ in a dazzling bright vision. Christ gave him the gospel message that he was to preach to the Jews and Gentiles:
To open their eyes to the truth; to turn them from darkness to light; to turn them from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins. King Agrippa almost became a Christian that day.
Paul carried the message of the truth of the resurrection, the need to turn from their sin and receive forgiveness of sins through Jesus Christ, wherever he travelled, in Israel, in Asia or in Europe. Hundreds were converted from the religions of many gods to the One true God of creation and salvation. This has continued on for almost 2000 years. Now it is your choice to receive forgiveness of sins through Christ or eternal death in torment. Yield to Him now.
