The 23rd Psalm - Max M. Johnson
The Lord is my Shepherd, no want shall I know.
He leads me in paths were He’d have me to go.
The Lord is my Shepherd, no want shall I know.
He leads me in paths were He’d have me to go.
Beside the still waters, in pastures so green
His bountiful, gracious provision is seen.
And if, in my folly, mistakes I would make,
He always restores me for His dear name’s sake.
And if, in His wisdom through testings I go —
E’en death’s fearsome shadows — no fear shall I know.
His presence is with me; and day after day
His rod is my prompter, His staff is my stay.
His table he constantly loads for my care,
When even my enemy’s presence is there.
And blessing on blessing o’er me He does pour
‘Til my cup can’t possibly hold any more.
With gladness and mercy He crowns my days well;
And one day in His house forever I’ll dwell.
