THE SINNER/BELIEVER IS SURELY LOVED. - Chapel Chat

    CHRIST’S SACRIFICE OF LOVE. Ephesians 5:2,“Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma.” The Son and Word of God came down from the glory of heaven and entered the unborn child of a virgin. He came down to be the sinless, holy, righteous God-man who could offer himself to the Father as the blood sacrifice for the sins of the entire human race. This sacrifice by our Savior, to deliver us from the condemnation of our sins, was a gift so costly it is called indescribable in 2 Corinthians 9:15.

    CHRIST’S LOVE FOR THE SINNER. Revelation 1:5, “Jesus Christ, the faithful witness,—. To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood.” Moses wrote, “The life is in the blood.” Therefore it required the life and shed blood of an animal to cover the sins of an individual in the OT. We do not want our sins just covered; we want them totally, forever put away. That is what Christ did on the cross. His blood, once shed, totally cleanses the repentant, believing sinner forever.

   CHRIST’S LOVE FOR THE CHURCH. Ephesians 5:25, ”Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her,” The church is the bride of Christ. Christ was willing to pay the supreme price that He might have His bride with Him forever. The church is composed of all born again believers who have received Christ as their personal Savior.

    Ask for total forgiveness of sins. Be a part of Christ’s bride today.
