The world and Paul were well agreed – Thomas Brooks

“May I never boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.” Gal. 6:14

Paul scorned, despised, and rejected the world and the world scorned, despised, and rejected him.

Paul cast off the world and the world cast off him.

He disregarded the world and the world disregarded him.

He was dead to the world and the world was dead to him.

The world and Paul were well agreed: the world cared not a pin for Paul and Paul cared not a straw for the world.
