What Jesus Sees
Yes, I can see the pretty trees,
But can I see what Jesus sees?
Do I see that man beneath that tree,
How he’s crying for some love from me?
And do I see what Jesus sees?
The bikers riding in the square?
My legs may itch to join them there,
But can I see what Jesus sees?
Just some souls who do not know the grace,
That my God will give this human race,
And do I see what Jesus sees?
My Lord, I want your eyes, to see men through,
That I may see this world the way you do.
And, Lord, I want your heart, that I may feel,
And show these souls I see, a love that’s real.
I like to watch the little bees,
But can I see what Jesus sees?
Do I see that boy, that farmer boy,
Who the devil surely will destroy?
And do I see what Jesus sees?
I see some people eating food,
Ah, just some people in the mood,
But can I see what Jesus sees?
Can I see their souls are hungry still?
How they eat but never to their fill?
And do I see what Jesus sees?
