YOU MEET HIM
YOU MEET HIM
Hello and greetings in the Name of the Son of Him Who Meets Those that Rejoice in Righteousness, Jesus Christ!
“For from days of old they have not heard or perceived by ear, Nor has the eye seen a God besides You, Who acts in behalf of the one who waits for Him. You meet him who rejoices in doing righteousness, who remembers You in Your ways.” –Isaiah 64:4-5a
There is only One True God and Ruler of the universe. Astonishingly, the Celestial King acts in behalf of those who wait for Him. And perhaps even more personal and amazing is that He meets those who rejoice in doing righteousness and remember His ways. Most Christians can share in detail the account of the day they met God through faith in Jesus Christ. But God not only meets the unsaved, but believers as well. As James 4:8 says, “Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.”
“You come to the help of those who gladly do right, who remember Your ways.” –Isaiah 64:5a
Do we “gladly do right”? If so, is it always that way? Do we remember His ways? David prayed, “Shew me Thy ways, O LORD; teach me Thy paths,” and “I will meditate in Thy precepts, and have respect unto Thy ways.” –Psalms 25:4 & 119:15 . So if we set our heart to rejoice in the Lord and in doing the right thing, and if we remember God in His ways, then it should not surprise us when the Lord in His mercy descends to meet us and help us. And that’s yet another beautiful aspect of God. Amen.
Despite Mr. Van Niekerk’s condition it is not impossible for God to penetrate his mind with the Gospel, and the same goes for my grandmother and Mr. Kussman. I spent a few days in Deelkraal before and after I was in the Vaal Triangle last week. I walked up and down the streets of what used to be a small mining community and handed out Gospel tracts and invitations to our get-together for children and youth. Then we held the event last Saturday and I got to preach the Gospel, and the Lord strengthened me to be able to preach with much boldness and authority as we had prayed. Hallelujah!
Lord willing, the year-end convention begins in the Western Cape on December 7th. Our meetings for our full-time workers begin on the 3rd. I practiced my guitar every day this week. Who knows? Perhaps in a year I will be able to play E minor!
Thanks for praying for me! It’s always encouraging when I perceive God’s help in any circumstance and He has really helped me in a number of ways this week such as directing my paths. May our Compassionate Father be glorified in our lives today!
