Publication history
. As articles: like many of the oc works published after 1932, most of the contents of conformed to his image appeared first as articles in the btc monthly journal 2 before being compiled into a book. These were published between 1945 and 1950.
. A longer version of memory of sin in the saint appeared as an article in gods revivalist magazine, October 13, 1910. Most likely, chambers preached this message at a camp meeting in America during the summer of 1910.
. As a book: the material was published as a book in 1950. Mrs. Chambers often made slight
Changes in words or phrasing between article and book publication. Her goal was always clarity of her husbands messages.
Notes on lamentations appeared in the btc journal in 1947 with a note from Mrs. Chambers saying: these studies in lamentations were given at the bible training college, following on the series on Jeremiah; it was towards the close of a session and the chapters were not taken in detail, consequently brief notes only are available.
Chambers taught the series on lamentations in November 1913, a time when biddy chambers, caring for six-month-old Kathleen, 3 may have found it difficult to fulfill all the roles of lady superintendent of the college, wife, mother, and stenographer.
Oswald preached a fatal error of indignant integrity on Sunday, October 29, 1916, at zeitoun, Egypt.
