Pro Tip – In a world that is constantly shifting, with distractions at every turn, what we need more than ever is the kind of old-time preaching that is firmly rooted in God’s Word, drenched in prayer, and marked by humility. This preaching doesn’t rely on man’s wisdom or the latest trends, but on the eternal truths of the Bible, empowered by the Holy Spirit. When a preacher stands before God’s people, not with eloquence but with a heart that is broken before the Lord, prayerfully prepared, and dependent upon God’s guidance, the message has power.
It’s a message that brings sinners to their knees in repentance and calls believers to rise in holiness. The world may try to drown out the truth, but the Word of God, preached with sincerity and dependence on the Holy Spirit, will always break through, transforming lives and lifting up Jesus Christ. Such preaching is not for our glory, but for His alone, to bring the lost to Christ and to inspire His people to live for Him.
Ten Remarkable Women in the Bible
1. Eve – The Mother of All Living
Eve was the first woman, created by God as a helper for Adam. Though she fell into sin, God showed mercy and promised a Savior through her offspring (Genesis 3:15).
2. Sarah – Trusting God’s Promise
Sarah waited many years for the son God promised. In her old age, she gave birth to Isaac, showing that God is faithful even when His plans seem delayed.
3. Rebekah – A Willing Servant
Rebekah showed kindness and hospitality when she offered water to Abraham’s servant. God later chose her to be the mother of Jacob, part of His great plan for Israel.
4. Leah – Loved by God
Though not as favored by others, Leah was deeply loved by God. He blessed her with children and made her part of the lineage of Jesus through her son Judah.
5. Ruth – Loyal and Faithful
Ruth chose to follow the God of Israel and stay with her mother-in-law Naomi. Her faith and character were rewarded as she became the great-grandmother of King David.
6. Hannah – A Woman of Prayer
Hannah prayed earnestly for a child and kept her promise to God by giving Samuel back to Him for service. Her story encourages faith and heartfelt prayer.
7. Esther – Courage in God’s Timing
Esther used her position to protect God’s people, risking her life in obedience to Him. God placed her in the palace “for such a time as this.”
8. Mary – A Humble Servant
Mary trusted God’s will and became the mother of Jesus. Her obedience and humility are a beautiful example for believers.
9. Martha – A Faithful Worker
Martha served faithfully and learned to trust Jesus even in grief. Her story reminds us to balance service with faith.
