Dr Peter Masters is currently the pastor of the Metropolitan Church in England. He started there in 1970. The Metropolitan Chapel is well known, as where Charles Spurgeon ministered for 38 years from 1854, commencing his time there when merely 20 years old. Masters also organizes a yearly conference, attended by pastors and Christian workers. The Evangelical Times was initiated by him. He is also director of the School of Theology, situated next to the sanctuary. He has already written 28 books, which have also been translated into as many languages. Masters’ sermons have widely been broadcasted across the UK, first with Sky Channel UCB and later, from 2013, with Sky Channel Revelation TV broadcasted on Saturday evenings. One of the characteristics of Masters, is his concern that fundamental churches are often aligning themselves with those who are modern and non-evangelical. He opposes the Charismatic movement and is known as a Young Earth Creationist, opposing Darwinism and evolution.
